Shipping & Delivery
Last updated: 6 August 2026
Here’s how getting your gear from seller to buyer actually works on SportCo.
Postal delivery only
SportCo doesn’t currently support local collection or meet-ups — every item is sent by post. This keeps things simple and means every order has proper tracking and buyer protection behind it, regardless of where in the UK you are.
UK delivery only
SportCo currently only supports listings and delivery within the United Kingdom. International shipping isn’t available at this stage.
Choosing a carrier and rate
At checkout, SportCo automatically selects an approved tracked no-print service based on the size and weight of the item and the delivery address. Sellers do not need to choose a label format or print anything at home.
- Evri — tracked parcel service with a phone-scannable postage code
Other carriers are only made available after their Shippo service has been verified to provide an equivalent digital handoff code.
Shipping cost is added on top of the item price at checkout and is paid by the buyer.
Posting the item
Once payment is confirmed, the seller is responsible for packaging the item securely and posting it — 5 business days (sooner is always better). Cricket gear should be packed to survive the post: bats and pads wrapped or boxed, sharp edges (spikes, buckles) protected, and padding used where needed.
SportCo emails the seller a digital postage code and also keeps it in the seller dashboard. The seller shows the code on their phone at the drop-off point, where staff scan it and print and attach the physical label. Every shipment includes tracking, and sellers should keep proof of postage until the buyer confirms delivery.
Shipping deadline
Once payment is confirmed, sellers have 5 business days (sooner is always better) to post the item. You’ll be notified with your deadline and a pre-paid digital postage code (paid for by the buyer) as soon as an order comes in.
If a shipping label hasn’t even been created by day 5, the order is automatically cancelled and the buyer is refunded in full — no need for either side to chase this up manually. If a label has been created but tracking shows no movement, we don’t cancel automatically — carrier scan delays are common, so this is instead flagged for a quick review to check what’s actually happened before any refund decision is made.
Tracking your order
Once a seller marks an item as shipped, tracking details are available on the order in your account. You’ll be able to follow the parcel’s progress through to delivery.
Lost or damaged items
SportCo isn’t the courier, so we’re not directly responsible for items lost or damaged in transit — but this is exactly what buyer protection covers. If an item doesn’t arrive, or arrives significantly damaged, contact us and we’ll help resolve it. See our Buyer Protection page for details.
Delivery timing
Delivery times depend on the automatically selected approved service, generally 1–3 working days once posted. SportCo doesn’t guarantee specific delivery windows beyond what the carrier itself commits to.
